You will be greeted at the Port of Naples before making your way to the archeological site of Pompeii, the ancient city whose ruins were preserved by the volcanic eruption that devastated it in 79AD. Here you will spend the duration of the morning, before heading off to Mount Vesuvius, where you will climb to the summit. The day will conclude here and you will return to the Port of Naples.

Our English speaking driver will meet you at the gang way of the ship in the port of Naples at 7.30 – 8 AM, with the vehicle that you have requested to begin the drive to Pompei and Amalfi coast.

We will start the tour from Pompeii before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in August 79 AD was a city full of life, which boasted more than 20,000 inhabitants. Today, two-thirds of the city were brought to light, bringing to life the ruins of this flourishing civilization.

We will continue on the Amalfi Coast, which will give us a spectacular view of the sea, descending the winding one-way road of Positano, bypassing many local restaurants, we get to the heart of the town – the busy central Piazza dei Mulini that is connected to a narrow downhill path which leads to the seafront. All streets leading to the waterfront are for pedestrians only so we must drop you off at the Piazza dei Mulini. On the way to the waterfront you can see the cathedral, shops selling ceramics, lemons, shoes and "Positano fashion" clothing.

Here you will spend your morning, before continuing on to the picturesque coastal village of Sorrento for some sightseeing and lunch.

The tour continues back to Naples to see some of the highlights of this colorful city, passing by the famous square Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the picturesque gallery of Umberto and the maschio Angioino Castle. The day concludes with a visit to one the most important archaeological museums in Europe with artworks, private collections and the main artifacts founding during the excavation of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

This day excursion is designed for those who have already visited Florence in the past and would like to spent a day in Tuscany and wish to enjoy the highlights of Pisa and Lucca.

You will be greeted at the Port of Livorno, and will make your way to the small city of Pisa. Here you will spend a portion of your morning at the Leaning Tower and the main square, Piazza dei Miracoli, the Cathedral and the Baptistery.

Continuing your tour along the scenic route in the Tuscan countryside, will arrive at one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, which is actually is not known by many, Lucca. It shows like many other Italian cities its Roman roots and style. Lucca's defensive walls are still perfectly preserved and once you have entered in the city you'ld feel that you have gone to the past. Here you will see Duomo di San Martino, the city walls and if you wish a visit a local winery time permitting before heading back to the ship after the visit of Lucca to arrive around 5pm.
